School Climate and Connectedness Survey (SCCS)

KGBSD will be giving the School Climate and Connectedness Survey to students and staff in grades 6-12 March 25th.  This survey measures student and staff perceptions of school climate and connectedness.  School Climate refers to factors that contribute to the tone and attitudes in a school.  School Connectedness refers to students' school experiences and their perceptions and feelings about school. 

Research has found there is  a relationship between  school climate and connectedness and achievement.  Changing a school's climate and connectedness is associated with increases in student performance in reading and writing.
